Check out the comic book movie mojo The Current War is putting together. Doctor Strange's Benedict Cumberbatch, Man of Steel's Michael Shannon, X-Men: Apocalypse's Nicholas Hoult, and soon you may be able to add Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, to the mix.
Holland is in talks to join the film about rivals Thomas Edison (Cumberbatch) and George Westinghouse (Shannon) as they compete to develop a stable electric current that can then be marketed to the world. Hoult is playing Nikola Tesla while Katherine Waterston is Westinghouse's wife.
Assuming Holland signs on he'd play Edison's assistant, meaning he'll be sharing a lot of time with Cumberbatch before we eventually see them together in some Marvel crossover, probably Avengers: Infinity War. He'll be seen next in The Lost City of Z, and of course Spider-Man: Homecoming next summer. [THR]
