Chris Evans Will Be 'Jekyll' For Director Ruben Fleischer
Ruben Fleischer's directorial career got off to a hot start with Zombieland, but things haven't gone quite to plan ever since. First of all, attempts at a proper sequel hit the skids; and then there were a pair of unimpressive flicks in 30 Minutes or Less and Gangster Squad. While he's remained busy working in TV, Fleischer is headed back to the screen and paired up with Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
Fleischer will direct Evans in Jekyll, the modern day Jekyll & Hyde film he became attached to last summer. The film is an adaptation of the 2007 BBC One series which centers on a descendant of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson character with the monstrous split personality. And no, this has nothing to do with Universal's Classic Monsters franchise or their developing Jekyll & Hyde movie.
No word on when this will shoot but I imagine it all depends on Evans' busy schedule. I hear he's got a Marvel movie or two coming. He'll also be doing press for Gifted which opens next year.
