Josh Hartnett Faces An Icy Doom In Trailer For '6 Below: Miracle On The Mountain'

Josh Hartnett has had a pretty busy 2017, filling up his time with features since Penny Dreadful was canceled. He recently starred in The Ottoman Lieutenant, which few saw like most of his movies lately, and he's got a couple of projects in the can and waiting for a release. Next month we'll see him in the true survival thriller, 6 Below: Miracle On the Mountain, which looks like a snowy version of 127 Hours.

Directed by Act of Valor and Need for Speed's Scott Waugh, the film is based on the true story of former professional hockey player Eric LeMarque, who in 2004 was lost on the frigid Sierra Nevada wilderness for a week, surviving only on pine nuts and needles while living in a makeshift igloo. The film will show him going through all of the familiar motions for this kind of man vs. nature movie: facing his mortality, questioning his faith, and reconciling with the past.

6 Below: Miracle On the Mountain hits select theaters and VOD on October 13th.
