As with all early production rumors, take this with a miniscule grain of salt. Latino Review, a site known for actually getting this stuff right, is reporting that WB is looking at Anton Yelchin for it's Hal Jordan. Yelchin, who can be seen in flicks like Alpha Dog and Charlie Bartlett as well as playing Kyle Reese in the upcoming Terminator: Salvation and Chekov in Star Trek, is only 19. Why does this matter do you ask? Well, Hal Jordan is supposed to be a decorated Air Force test pilot when he becomes the Green Lantern. Not only is Yelchin way to young to play this he's babyfaced as well...the kid looks 19. No need to go off on a super long rant about this as I'm sure it will turn out to be untrue, but most rumors are based in some level of fact and if they are looking at this kid for the role at all then it means they are willing to mess with the original storyline quite a bit. I'll hold out hope and reserve judgement, but let's just say I hope this is more fluff than fact.
