Ever since that detailed plot description for Ridley Scott's "Alien prequel" Prometheus got leaked to the internet, it's been fun watching all involved basically pretend it didn't happen. The official plots released by the studio have been bland as non-buttered grits, which I think has had the dual effect of making casual fans less interested in the film, and Alien fanboys more convinced than ever the reveal was accurate. Whatever the case may turn out to be, the film's Facebook page has a new plot synopsis, which gives maybe a tad more information than we've seen previously...
Ridley Scott, director of "Alien" and "Blade Runner," returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Please don't tell me the Space Jockeys created humans. That's what it sounds like, doesn't it?
