1st photos from Martin McDonagh's 'Seven Psychopaths', starring Colin Farrell and Woody Harrelson

For fans of Martin McDonagh's irreverent, deliberately incendiary hitman flick, In Bruges, it's been a long wait for his follow-up, Seven Psychopaths. Sure, we got some relief when Martin's brother, John Michael McDonagh, gave us the similarly vulgar cop comedy, The Guard, but not a lot of people have caught on to that film yet. With Martin's film now inching closer to release later this year, Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first few images from the screwball crime comedy.

Colin Farrell plays a struggling screenwriter who finds himself yanked into the dangerous misadventures of his two wacky friends by helping them kidnap the beloved Shih Tzu of a violent crime boss. Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken play the two buddies, while Woody Harrelson will be the villain going off on a rampage to find his pooch. Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko, and Gabourey Sidibe co-star.
