Queen Latifah, Terrence Howard, and Peter Fonda to star in 'House of Bodies'

2011 turned out not to be the best year for either Queen Latifah or Terrence Howard. She wasted away in a bit part opposite Vince Vaughn and Kevin James in The Dilemma, while Howard.....well, what the hell did he do last year? Oh, he was in two movies that did nothing here in America. The first was the festival stinker, The Ledge, which I think is on DVD now. The other was Winnie, where he played Nelson Mandela(?????) opposite Jennifer Hudson. That film will probably never see the light of day here, and we're probably better off for it. I couldn't think of an actor less capable than Howard for something like that.

With Howard already stinking up the joint with Red Tails this year, and Latifah doing the same with Joyful Noise,  hopefully their next big screen project will be more successful, although I wouldn't count on it. He, along with Latifah, Peter Fonda, and Alexz Johnson(Final Destination 3) will star in House of Bodies , an indie thriller from director Alex Merkin(Across the Hall). Latifah will play Nicole, a relay operator at a phone service for the hearing impaired who often chats up Kyle, a deaf child with a fondness for the macabre that leads him to the website House of Bodies, run out of the former home of a death row inmate and serial killer played by Fonda. Howard is the detective investigating a series of copycat murders.

Production is just getting underway with Latifah serving as exec producer. Howard will be seen next in Walter Salles's adaptation of On the Road. [Variety]
