Trailer Time: 'Prometheus', starring Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron

"Prometheus has landed." After months of intense secrecy, with the extensive cast forced into signing non-disclosure agreements and basically being kept under lock and key, the last few weeks have seen Ridley Scott cracking open the door to his long-awaited return to science fiction just a little bit. Unlike some other big budget franchises that shall go unnamed but rhyme with 'Ron Larter', each new image and viral video for Prometheus has led to more questions than answers. Take notes, studios, this is how you work the audiences into a frenzy of anticipation.

Yesterday saw the sizzling 1-minute IMAX trailer for the film, and now the release of the first full trailer fresh off its premier a WonderCon. If there was still any doubt whatsoever that this is indeed an Alien prequel, they can be promptly disposed of. Building up more of the story and the atmosphere than yesterday's did, we see considerably more from Noomi Rapace as archaeologist Elizabeth Shaw, who leads the team of explorers to a distant planet looking for answers to some of the universe's greatest questions. It doesn't turn out well, and what we see are glimpses of acid burned faces, giant stone heads, sticky creatures emerging out of everywhere, and most importantly what appears to be a living breathing Space Jockey. Oh my.

Prometheus stars Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall, Katie Dickie, Sean Harris, and Patrick Wilson. Look for it to descend into theaters on June 8th....
