New International poster for 'The Bourne Legacy'

Yeah, it's a slow news week, but there's still plenty of cool stuff to check out. One is this new international poster for The Bourne Legacy, featuring Jeremy Renner as agent Aaron Cross gunnin' it across the rooftops on his way to beat some dude senseless, no doubt. It's been interesting to listen to people who don't cover movie news every day talk about the film. While going to see Ted for the second time a few days ago, a guy only a few seats away didn't seem to be all that thrilled at the idea of Matt Damon being "replaced" by Renner. It's not the first time I've heard that expressed, so co-writer/director Tony Gilroy may have his hands full convincing people to give his film a shot.

It's sort of a shame, too, as the trailers have been intense showcases of Renner's natural physical ability. Gilroy is a totally different style of director than Paul Greengrass, and the film is more traditionally shot than previous installments. Springboarding out of events taking place in The Bourne Ultimatum, Renner stars as agent Aaron Cross, part of a similar black ops program that spawned  Jason Bourne. Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, and Oscar Isaac will co-star when The Bourne Legacy hits theaters on August 10th.
