Awww, isn't that sweet? It's a father sharing a little quiet time with his daughter, watching the fireworks over....Istanbul?? Wait a second. Weird vacation destinations aside, if you're ex-agent/current badass Bryan Mills(Liam Neeson), wouldn't you want to relax in a place that's a lot further away from where you recently destroyed a kidnapping ring and killed dozens in the process? While that might have made for a smarter decision, it would have made for a less entertaining Taken 2.
Things are a little different this time around, as Bryan's enemies go on the offensive against him looking for payback. Not only do they kidnap his wife(Famke Janssen), but they have Bryan over a barrel as well, leaving it up to daughter Kim(Maggie Grace) to do whatever it is she's capable of to help them escape. There are only a few brief snippets of footage in this newly released trailer, and there's an extra focus placed on Kim and the last second instructions she receives from her father, mirroring what he told her in that fateful phone call from the first film.
Taken 2 is directed by Olivier Megaton and will hit theaters on October 5th....
