New Posters for 'Labor Day', 'Thor: The Dark World', and 'Charlie Countryman'
Jason Reitman's latest film, Labor Day, is already earning a lot of Oscar buzz, and hopefully it gets a bit more love than his Young Adult did last year. The first poster for the film has been released, and it's an image that can be interpreted as either embracing or confining. Kate Winslet stars as a reclusive single mother who agrees to go out for Labor Day weekend with her 13-year-old son. They encounter an escaped convict played by Josh Brolin, who convinces them let him into their home and their lives. Labor Day opens this Christmas.
Thor and Loki won't be the only ones feuding in Thor: The Dark World. We can expect some jealous fireworks to spark between Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) over Thor's affections. The quarreling ladies have received their own character posters, and that Sif one is simply bad ass. Talk about a character who needs her own Marvel One-Shot. Thor: The Dark World opens on November 8th.
And we have three posters for the Shia Labeouf-led flick, Charlie Countryman. Formerly burdened with the overlong title The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, the film debuted last Sundance and has mostly fallen out of view thanks to subpar reviews. Directed by Fredrik Bond and co-starring Evan Rachel Wood, Rupert Grint, Melissa Leo, and Mads Mikkelsen, it has Labeouf as an American who meets the perfect girl while in Europe, only to run afoul of her violent gangster boyfriend. Charlie Countryman will hit VOD and a few theaters on November 15th.
