Jaimie Alexander Returning as Sif in Marvel's 'Agents of SHIELD'

After a hiatus that, at least in my opinion, wasn't completely fulfilled by the presence of Agent Carter, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD finally returns on March 3rd. And when it does come back, one who won't be trailing far behind Agent Coulson's team is the Asgardian warrior, Sif, played by the awesome Jaimie Alexander.

Lady Sif is set to return to Agents of SHIELD during the March 10th episode, but she won't be her usual self. Instead, she'll have lost much of her memory, meaning she has no recollection of Thor, her mission on Earth, and won't even have her usual Asgardian armor. Here's what exec-producer Jeffrey Bell has to say...

“Sif has no idea who Thor is or that she serves a king, and we’re going to have fun with that. It’ll give us some much-needed humor in a season that’s been full of betrayal and death. Sif can’t even recall who she came here from Asgard to stop, but Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] and his team will try to help her figure all that out…We’ve been dealing a lot with space aliens and Inhumans in our last few episodes—things our Earth-bound heroes just don’t know much about. They need help understanding what’s really going on. Sif’s memory—what’s left of it—will come in very handy.”

So who or what could have caused Sif's memory meltdown? That's being kept a secret, but she apparently will engage in quite the beatdown with it before meeting up with Coulson's agents. Why all the secrecy? Smart money is on it being an Inhuman, the super-powered race we now know Skye (Chloe Bennett) is a part of and are due for their own movie in 2018.  [TVInsider]
