This is it. Warner Bros. is wrapping up what has been a furious marketing blitz for Mad Max: Fury Road with one final trailer for the high-octane post-apocalyptic thriller. If the eyeball melting action we've seen hasn't sold you on George Miller's updated vision of his epic franchise, then probably nothing else well. But why not give it one more shot, anyway?
Tom Hardy picks up where Mel Gibson left off, but the character to keep an eye on is Charlize Theron's Furiosa. Let's not forget that plans for a sequel largely revolve around her, meaning expect her to do some crazy sh*t in this one. In fact, she's pretty much the centerpiece of this trailer which plays out more like an extended clip. Here's the synopsis:
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
