First New 'Dragon Ball' Series in 18 Years Arrives this Summer
There's a brand new Dragon Ball anime series on the way, and it should come as no surprise given the worldwide success of the most recent movies, 'Battle of Gods' and 'Resurrection of F'. Toei Animation has announced Dragon Ball Super, which will be the first new Dragon Ball series in 18 years.
Developed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Super will totally ignore the events of Dragon Ball GT, which was apparently unofficial anyway (news to me), and take place a few years after Goku's victory over Majin Buu. The Earth will be going through a period of peace, but that's obviously not going to continue.
Dragon Ball Super will debut in Japan this July.
