'Captain America 3' Set Photo Reveals Frank Grillo as Crossbones; Mark Ruffalo Teases Hulk Appearance

Filming is underway in Atlanta on next year's Captain America: Civil War, and with a mountain of Avengers, Black Panther, and Spider-Man expected to appear it's easy to forget other characters are in it. One of those who is returning and expected to have a larger role is Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones. He's got one of the coolest villain costumes in comics, perfect for the guy who "killed" Captain America, and now set photos have revealed that he's going to look pretty badass on the big screen, too.

The shot was taken during a scene that appears to take place in Africa, so maybe this will be when we see a Black Panther appearance? Crossbones vs. Black Panther would be a pretty cool rumble, at least until the King of Wakanda puts the smackdown on him.

Here's the quick synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Expect to see Cap joined by Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, and possibly Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. What? Yeah, Ruffalo has been teasing that the big green Avenger could show up...

Given how things ended for the Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron, maybe they just show him hanging out in the Quinjet? Surely there isn't enough room to give him a big role, assuming Ruffalo isn't just pulling our leg.

Captain America: Civil War opens May 6th 2016.
