For years, fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon grew accustomed to the evil Shredder being accompanied by his two oafish mutant minions: Bebop and Rocksteady. We've never had a chance to see the boar and rhino duo in any live-action films, but that is changing with next year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and now we know who will be playing Bebop.
Deadline reports that Gary Anthony Williams, who I remember as the resident nerd in Undercover Brother, will be playing Bebop in the TMNT sequel directed by David Green. He'll begin as a common street thug serving as muscle for Shredder's plan to exact vengeance, but expect him to end up mutated and with a big snout. Hopefully they'll keep the shades, too because they're pretty awesome.
And if there's any reason to be more excited about this film than the last one, it's learning that Judith Hoag, who played April O'Neil in awesome 1989 movie, is part of the cast. She was spotted on set filming a scene alongside Megan Fox, and...call me crazy but I'd still rather have Hoag. If they make April O'Neil's mother or something I'm going to be pissed.
