Jason Statham as Bullseye in 'Daredevil' Season Two?
Just as Jason Statham helped make Furious 7 more awesome just by his grizzled, tough-guy presence, how great would it be to see him in a Marvel movie? Well, that's not happening. Yet. But there's a chance he could be on Marvel's Daredevil Netflix series, at least if the latest rumor from Latino Review is true.
According to the site, Marvel is eying Statham for the villain role of Bullseye, arguably Daredevil's greatest foe, when the series returns for season two. We're talking about the guy who murdered Matt Murdock's greatest love, Elektra, another character expected to appear. There's a chance Statham has already met with Marvel about the role, and he may be inclined to take it. Back in 2008 Statham had expressed interest in being part of 20th Century Fox's reboot of the Daredevil franchise, just before they lost the rights. But that was for a movie, and Statham may not be willing to make the move to TV, even for Marvel.
Other villains that may appear include the dome-headed Mysterio (he also beefs with Spider-Man regularly) and Mr. Fear. We should learn something soon as production is set to begin very soon.
Meanwhile, be sure to check out Statham opposite Melissa McCarthy in Spy. He absolutely steals every scene he's in.
