Owen Wilson to the rescue? We've seen Owen Wilson play the action hero a few times; you could include the Shanghai Noon movies (a third one is on the way), and who could forget Behind Enemy Lines (everybody)? This fall Wilson will try to get his family through a violent uprising in No Escape, a film that looks like The Impossible meets Red Dawn.
A new trailer for the film has been released, and it shows plenty of Wilson and co-star Lake Bell as parents relocated to Southeast Asia just as a violent coup erupts. The family find themselves caught up in the middle of it, and it's up to Wilson to get them home safely. Pierce Brosnan has a major role, too, but you'd never know it based on this footage. Look how far in the background he is on the new poster. No respect for the former 007.
Directed by John Erick Dowdle, No Escape opens on September 2nd.
