There are so many cool characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens that it's easy to lose track of some. For instance, whatever happened to junk dealer Unkar Plutt (Simon Pegg), who made Rey's life on Jakku difficult until she flew off with his Millennium Falcon? Well, if that indignity wasn't enough he serves a much worse fate in this newly-released deleted scene from the upcoming 3D home release.
The scene Takes place in Maz Kanata's cantina on the planet Takodana, after Rey and Finn had met up with Han Solo and his Wookie pal, Chewbacca. In fact, this moment is basically for fans of the hairy sidekick as he gets a moment that would have had them roaring with glee. Plutt, who still has to be steaming from the earlier theft, encounters Rey and gives her some guff, even turning her own gun against her. That's until Chewbacca shows up and saves the day. Plutt wasn't smart enough to simply walk away, and instead insults him.
The clip ends there in about as tame a way possible. But the scene continues on as you'll see when the 3D Blu-Ray comes out on November 15th, and let's just say Chewie can be very disarming when he's feeling up to it.[EW]
