Crazy Rumor: TMZ says Lindsay Lohan up for "major role" in Superman relaunch

There's so much salt to be taken with this story it's likely to put you on blood pressure meds for the rest of your life. TMZ is reporting a source close to the troubled, formerly hot now blotchy and thin Lindsay Lohan is up for a major role in Zack Snyder's Superman movie.  That is if she hasn't been thrown in some women's prison and forced to trade cigarettes for her life due to this charge of grand theft she's currently fighting. Here is what TMZ had to say...

"Sources close to LiLo tell TMZ ... Lindsay's people have had multiple phone conversations within the last few weeks with the people behind the new Superman reboot. We're told Lindsay is up for a role in the flick -- and while it isn't Lois Lane, we hear it would be a 'major character.'

Like who? Lana Lang? She's not seriously up for the role of Ursa, the female Kryptonian we've heard the names Rosamund Pike, Alice Eve, and Diane Kruger attached to? I seriously doubt the suits over at Warner Brothers would be willing to put their production at risk with such a volatile component like Lohan.

The source notes that Lohan is "dying to show people again how talented she is". I don't think her former talent can be disputed, but her previous attempts to get out from under her perpetual black cloud haven't exactly changed people's minds.  She's shown flashes of her old self in 2006's A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby, but since then it's been one issue after another.  She most recently had a provocative supporting role in Machete just last year.

Basically, don't count on this one panning out, and if it does I'll eat my gym socks.
