New set photos from possible Captain America post-credits sequence

Marvel's big superhero jam, The Avengers, begins shooting today. It's been a long, confusing build up to the Joss Whedon directed film, but now all the pieces appear to be in place. Both Iron Man films have been leading up to it, so did The Incredible Hulk, and next week  will do much the same. But there remained a small bit of business left for Joe Johnston to clean up in Captain America: The First Avenger, and so over the weekend he dragged star Chris Evans and the crew to Times Square for what appears to be a possible epilogue to the film.

What makes me say that? Well, we already know how the film ends. It takes place during WWII, but ultimately it winds up with Cap being frozen in ice(just like in the comics), only to be thawed out in our time so he can join The Avengers. The photos from the weekend shoot show Cap in the middle of NYC, speaking with Nick Fury(Samuel L. Jackson). Judging by Cap's gaping piehole, I'm going to guess he just woke up out of his 50 year sleep to find giant JumboTrons on every building and hot dog stands on every corner. More than likely this is a scene where Fury shows Cap how things are now, compared to the 1940s. It's entirely possible that, even though Johnston was there directing the scene, that it could possibly be at the beginning of The Avengers, but I doubt it. It's likely one of those post-credit sequences Marvel flicks have become synonymous with over the last few years. Does anyone do them better? Thanks to Eyeprime for the bulk of these images.
