Ian McShane joins Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd in 'Cuban Fury'

Ian McShane will probably do anything quite as memorable as his profanity laden heel turn as Al Swearengen on HBO's Deadwood. Kind of a high bar to reach, but that hasn't stopped him from making every performance since as showy as possible. Check him out as Ray Winstone's homosexual accomplice in the crime flick, 44 Inch Chest, to see him really hamming it up. Right now he can be found in theaters as one of the dwarfs in Snow White and the Huntsman.

For his next role, he'll be joining Nick Frost and Chris O'Dowd in the promising Brit comedy, Cuban Fury. Based on an idea hatched by Frost, the film follows a down on his luck ex-salsa dancer who finds his love for it reignited by the passion he feels for his American boss, played by Rashida Jones. O'Dowd will play Frost's rival, with McShane as his dance instructor. Olivia Colman(Hot Fuzz) is also a part of the cast.

The more we learn about it, the better Cuban Fury sounds.  James Griffiths makes his directorial debut, based on a script by Jon Brown. [THR]
