"Sin is a choice" is the motif on the character posters for Ridley Scott's The Counselor, and judging by what we've already seen everybody has some sort of ulterior motive. Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, and Michael Fassbender star, and wisely the marketing has made them the spotlight, although many are just as intrigued by Cormac McCarthy's screenplay. Along with the images comes a new clip featuring Fassbender and Bardem, with the former playing a lawyer caught up in the drug trade. Clearly, Bardem's character leans towards the shady side, as seen here as the two try to iron out the reasons behind their get-rich scheme. Here's a hint: it involves simple greed.
*UPDATE* Another clip has debuted offering up some sketchy dealings between Bardem and Cameron Diaz.
The Counselor (or The Counsellor in the UK) opens on October 25th.
