All I know about Adventure Time is that it's animated, on Cartoon Network, and all my friends are insane about it. So they and the shows army of fans will be excited to learn that it's headed to the big screen, and some of the people behind The Lego Movie are making it happen.
Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network are developing an animated Adventure Time movie that will be overseen show creator, Pendleton Ward. The film will be produced by The Lego Movie's Chris McKay and Roy Lee. McKay was a co-director on The Lego Movie and was recently pegged to direct the Lego Batman film.
Now in its sixth season, Adventure Time follows the adventures of Finn, a human boy, and his adoptive brother Jake, a dog with magic powers. They live in and are often called to protect the mystical Land of Ooo, which is populated by a number of bizarre characters.
