Release Date Confirmed for "Rogue Cut" of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

We knew the "Rogue Cut" of X-Men: Days of Future Past was coming this year, we even knew the official runtime, and now thanks to Bryan Singer we know when it will finally be made available. While in Montreal filming X-Men: Apocalypse, Singer revealed today that the "Rogue Cut" will hit Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD on July 14th, which also happens to the day the original X-Men film opened in 2000. Aww, he's so nostalgic!

Singer also confirmed the extended version of the film would include 17 additional minutes featuring a scene in the future with Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen), Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), and Anna Paquin's Rogue. There will also be a scene involving Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Hank "Beast" McCoy (Nicholas Hoult), plus "a few little changes" promised by Singer. The above image suggests that Rogue could have been a much more important character in the film than she turned out to be. Her powers were always better suited to the task than Kitty Pryde's.
