When producer Jason Blum revealed the first images from the fifth Paranormal Activity film, titled The Ghost Dimension, he laid everything out on the table in regards to the franchise's future...
"It's coming to an end. This is it, the finale. We're saying it before the movie opens. We're not going to grind this horror franchise into the ground. This will keep ‘Paranormal Activity’ as part of this culture and this particular time in a really fantastic way."
So yeah, that means the Halloween staple and undisputed king of the low-budget horrors is coming to an end after six years of scaring audiences with old video camera footage. And now with the trailer for the film finally having arrived we're now seeing how the story of haunted siblings Kristi and Katie will once again terrorize one video camera-obsessed suburban family.
Directed by Gregory Plotkin, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension opens October 23rd and promises to wrap up all of the questions that have been lingering unanswered since the beginning.
