When the baddest woman on the planet says she wants something, she usually gets it. UFC champ Ronda Rousey has conquered everything in her path in the Octagon, and she's not doing so badly in Hollywood, either. She's already had major roles in The Expendables 3, Furious 7, and Entourage with more on the way, but what about playing a superhero in Marvel's Cinematic Universe?
Rousey was asked during a Reddit AMA which superhero she would love to play, and here was her response...
"well... a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I'd like to vie for Miss Marvel."
Chances are she's referring to Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, who also went by the name Ms. Marvel for a while. There's already a Captain Marvel movie on the way in 2018 and so far the title role has yet to be cast, just as no director has been found. Adding Rousey would be a huge coup for Marvel, and she's proven a capable actress who has the looks and physical gifts to pull the role off.
Next up for Rousey is a possible appearance at WWE's SummerSlam PPV later this month, plus a starring role in the action flick Mile 22 alongside Mark Wahlberg and Iko Uwais.
I need this to happen. I got what I wanted with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and this needs to be next.
