Tom Hardy Takes Aim at '100 Bullets'

Tom Hardy is definitely a man of his word. A few months ago, while discussing his inability to star in Suicide Squad as originally planned, Hardy revealed that another DC Comics property had drawn his interest. He said...

"It’s really good actually, it contains elements of all kinds of stuff. From Ocean’s Eleven, to Batman, you can get all the wrappers out and it would be a big, really cool, Technicolor, Pulp Fiction…It’s a psychological fuckfest, it’s absolutely awesome. It’s as if you would take Transmetropolitan and make it happen, but it’s not that out there it’s something which is much more real world. It could be like Heat, it could be fucking awesome. Let me tell you what it is, try and guess."

No need to guess any longer as THR reports Hardy will produce and likely star in an adaptation of Brian Azzarello's fan-favorite Vertigo series, 100 Bullets. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the project has been talked about as it was mentioned last year along with Fables, Metal Men, and Shazam as DC Comics projects Warner Bros. was planning.  David Goyer was also looking to adapt it into a TV series at one point, a format that may have been a better fit than a feature effort.

100 Bullets is a crime series that features a mysterious character named Agent Graves, who provides various people information on those who did them wrong, then provides them with untraceable ammunition to exact murderous revenge. Sometimes that revenge goes as planned, sometimes it doesn't. Chris Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes) will be writing the screenplay while a director has yet to be named.
