New posters for 'The Hangover Part III', 'Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters', and 'The Great Gatsby'

After dealing mostly with Alan's incompetence and their own fuzzy memories in The Hangover, of late the Wolfpack have found themselves trying to fend off the occasional bad guy. It was Paul Giamatti in the last film, and for The Hangover Part III it'll be none other than John Goodman. The latest poster for the May 24th release features a glowering, menacing Goodman standing over a captured Alan. With a tagline that reads "It Ends", this should be the big blow off for Todd Phillips' drug-fueled raunchy comedy. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Heather Graham, Mike Epps, Mike Tyson, Jamie Chung, Ken Jeong, and more will get in on the action that takes them from Tijuana back to Las Vegas.

New posters for 'The Great Gatsby', 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones', and 'Kick-Ass 2'

Whether you're into a glitzy retelling of an American classic novel, a teen fantasy romance, or ultra-violent comic book adaptations, there's a little something for everybody in this latest batch of posters.

New 'Kick-Ass 2' character posters including Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes

While Kick-Ass 2 looks to be as irreverent, vulgar, and violent as its hit predecessor, there are some pretty big changes afoot. The vigilante antics of Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) have given rise to an entire league of street heroes known as Justice Forever, led by ex-mafia enforcer Colonel Stars and Stripes, played by Jim Carrey and gracing one of three new character posters.

New poster for 'The Wolverine'

The trailer for The Wolverine claws up the 'net in just two days, and to whet our appetites to finally see Hugh Jackman back as the feral X-man, Fox has released this new awesome new poster.

Zombies pile up in new poster for 'World War Z'

A leaked version of the new World War Z trailer landed online this weekend, and I'm happy that it affected our own John Nolan so deeply. However, I'm not as sold, and it may be that Max Brooks' novel was so deep, so complex, and said so much about the way governments react at times of crisis. The film, which stars Brad Pitt and Mirielle Enos, just looks like somebody decided to smoosh as many CG-animated zombies together in one place.

New posters for 'Now You See Me', 'Spring Breakers', 'The East', and more

There's a definite Ocean's Eleven quality to Louis Leterrier's illusionist heist film, Now You See Me.  Perhaps that's why the latest poster bears such a striking resemblance to the one-sheets for Steven Soderbergh's star-studded ensemble. It is a clever way of putting the incredible cast front and center, boasting the talents of Jesse Eisenberg, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Melanie Laurent. The film centers on a cat 'n mouse chase between a team of illusionists/bank robbers and the FBI squad assembled to bring them down. Now You See Me opens on May 31st.

New trailer, poster, and images from 'Star Trek Into Darkness'

"Your commanders have committed a crime I cannot forgive". Paramount and J.J. Abrams have worked worked hard to keep a shroud of secrecy hanging over Star Trek Into Darkness, and even with the trailers and various images, a good deal of it remains a mystery. But we are starting to learn more about Benedict Cumberbatch's villain, the plainly named John Harrison, and why he's on such a clear path of destruction.

New 'Iron Man 3' IMAX poster

After a string of Iron Man 3 character posters were released leading up to the latest trailer, it's been fairly quiet on the Marvel marketing front up until now. Most films released in IMAX get a special, unique poster to coincide with the release, and now one has been issued for Tony Stark's latest adventure.

New 'Despicable Me 2' poster; trailer debuts tomorrow

Universal Pictures is taking a totally different path in hyping the sequel to their $540M hit, Despicable Me. Steve Carell was heavily pushed as the big draw in getting the animated franchise off the ground, but we've seen practically nothing from his Gru character for the follow-up, with the bulk of the focus on his little yellow Minions. We've seen them in various images and teasers for the film, and now a new poster has been released a day before we get a new full-length trailer.

Bruce Willis is armed for action in new 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' poster

Even though G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra did solid business by most accounts, it's generally considered an expensive misfire. Eager to rebound and take advantage of the 1980s toy franchise, Paramount honorably discharged most of the cast and enlisted a bunch of new faces for G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Along with Dwayne Johnson and Adrianne Palicki, the biggest addition to the squad is Bruce Willis as the original "real American hero", General Joe Colton.

Six R-Rated 'Kick-Ass 2' character posters

Because there's absolutely nothing PG-rated about Kick-Ass or its sequel, Kick-Ass 2, six new character posters have been released which are certainly not safe for work. Following up on this week's red band trailer, each one-sheet features a head shot of three heroes and three villains in the film, but surprisingly one of those isn't Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes. Instead we get Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl, and Lindy Booth as the colorfully named Night Bitch. An unrecognizable Christopher Mintz-Plasse returns as The Mother Fucker, protected by his hulking female body guard, Mother Russia played by bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina. Lastly, British actor Daniel Kaluuya is the evil Black Death.

Kick-Ass 2 opens in theaters on August 16th. Check out the posters and the plot below....[Cine1]

New poster and images from 'Kick-Ass 2'

So did the trailer for Kick-Ass 2 meet all of your expectations? There was a lot of doubt as to whether Jeff Wadlow could fill in adequately for Matthew Vaughn, but for the most part I think he nailed it. Keeping the momentum rolling, Universal has released the new poster and a handful of new images from the film, giving us a better look at the expanded cast.

In one image we see Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) laying the smackdown on Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) during a training session. Jim Carrey as the ex-mafia member turned vigilante Colonel Stars features in a pair of other photos, and if you look in the background of one there's the the latest team of street heroes known as Justice Forever. On the other side of the divide, there's Christopher Mintz-Plasse as The Motherfucker, who is forming his own band of villains.

Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters on August 16th.

New posters for 'After Earth', 'Kiss of the Damned', and 'Room 237'

It was only a week ago that we received the new trailer and poster for M. Night Shyamalan's After Earth, and I have to say they were both pretty impressive. Visually, the film sets itself apart from the similarly-toned Oblivion (with Tom Cruise), and looks like a solid "race for your life" action film. A new international poster has been released today, centering on Will and Jaden Smith with a forest growing out of their chests or something.  Their first pairing since The Pursuit of Happyness has them as legendary military commander and son who crash land on a dangerous future version of Earth, with the only hope of survival to make a dangerous journey and activating a rescue beacon. After Earth opens on June 7th.

Drew Barrymore confirmed for Adam Sandler's next rom-com; 1st 'Grown Ups 2' poster arrives

Adam Sandler's pretty good for at least one or two absolute pieces of dreck a year, in which he just kind of loafs around in exotic locales and gets paid to hang out with his buddies. At this point in his career he's earned it, I suppose, but it's hard to deny that his audience has been leaving in droves. Sandler's next two films may be his best shot to bounce back, as he'll reteam with some familiar faces from some of his biggest hits.

It's Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow in new 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' clip

As someone who owned practically every G.I. Joe action figure as a kid; read the awesome Larry Hama comic book for years; and has the entire cartoon run on DVD, G.I. Joe: Retaliation is a film I'm desperately hoping gets them right. Not that The Rise of Cobra was terrible, but it didn't feel like the Joe team I remember as a kid.  Fortunately, new director Jon Chu is a child of the 80s just like me, and he seems to have a real fondness for the ninja action that made G.I. Joe so darn cool.

The latest clip from the film pits those eternal enemies, Storm Shadow (Lee Byung-hun) and Snake Eyes (Ray Park), against one another while a battle rages outside. These two have a history that goes back deep, both members of the Arishikage Clan until Storm Shadow killed their master. It's interesting to note their varying styles, with Snake Eyes utilizing his military hardware to counter his opponent's throwing star technique.

With Rza playing the Blind Master and Elodie Yung as Jinx, there promises to be more martial arts action than before by a long stretch. Check out the clip below, followed by a behind-the-scenes featurette focusing on the fighting sequences. G.I. Joe: Retaliation hits theaters in IMAX on March 28th, and Paramount Pictures has also put out a new poster as a reminder.

Sofia Vergara shows off her cannons in new 'Machete Kills' poster

Robert Rodriguez has emptied his Rolodex and dialed up every hot chick he knows to appear in Machete Kills, and God bless him for it. With Amber Heard, Alexa Vega, Lady Gaga, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Zoe Saldana, and Vanessa Hudgens ramping up the sexiness quotient to a ridiculous degree, we're now getting a new poster featuring Modern Family's Sofia Vergara.

New posters for 'Iron Man 3', 'Turbo', 'To the Wonder', and more

While the Internet is still reeling from the incredible, hulk-busting trailer for Iron Man 3, Marvel has released a new poster putting Tony Stark and Pepper Potts front and center with his drone army in the background. It's the American version of the previously released Japanese one for the film, directed by Shane Black and hitting theaters on May 3rd.

New poster and images from 'After Earth' with Will and Jaden Smith

So far, the marketing campaign for After Earth has not measured up to the usual Will Smith summer release. Last year saw the generally well-received first trailer, but it's been mostly silent since then. That's all about to change tomorrow when the latest trailer hits, and to get us ready Sony has released a new poster and a pair of images.

It's Alan vs. Chow in the first 'The Hangover Part III' poster

Oh, Warner Bros., you sly dogs! Evoking imagery from their famed Harry Potter franchise, specifically the final battle between Harry and Voldemort, the first poster for The Hangover Part III teases an epic clash between Zach Galifianakis and Ken Jeong.

Teaser poster for '300: Rise of an Empire'

More of that messy Spartan handwriting. Just a few days ago we received the logo for 300: Rise of an Empire, the sequel to Zack Snyder's hit swords 'n abs film based on the battle of Thermopylae. Now today, Stark Industries has what appears to be the first teaser poster for the film.
